Headline Act Announced Soon!

So the time is near to finding out your Headline act, this will be done at the Launch night on the 2nd of March so not long now to get your tickets, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. So as you all know by now there are several pubs clubs and even little old us are in the top 5 of the Midland Zone awards come on Nottinghamshire get your voting fingers out and let’s bring the trophies back to Notts.

So things are going fast here we have added yet another Tent to the day along with the cabaret tent, Dance tent, Trans area, and the dirty filthy sexy tent we are also adding a burlesque tent yes that is right burlesque.

We have lots of great events coming up the next one after the Launch being a Charity gig guide this is for the 5 chosen charities, it is on the 31st of March at the Canel house starting at 14-00 and finishing at 12 with 2 stages full of local Nottinghamshire Band this is £5 a ticket and Nottinghamshire pride are donating all the Proceeds to the 5 chosen charities.

6 Months To Go!

Wow January already only 6 months until the biggest Pride in the East Midlands and let’s just say the committee are working harder to make this even bigger than last year, we have extra things like the Dance tent yes 8 hours of pure dance music, the cabaret tent ah think of all that drag for 8 hours, Dirty Filthy Sexy are hosting a tent for the whole day this year after their success last year, will still have your favourites the Main stage, Acoustic tent and the Comedy tent, and that’s just the Saturday just wait until you hear what we have for the Sunday.

We are just about to launch our very own Pride Draw with some great prizes.

1st Prize VIP Weekend at Pride which includes:

2 night stay in a 4 star hotel with Breakfast

Limo

Voucher to get a meal at Loch Fyne

Bottle of Champange

And 2x all access all areas pass

2nd prize 1 weeks stay in an 8 berth caravan in ingoldmells

3rd prize a year free bus pass from NCT

4th Prize co-op’s Fair trade Hamper

Plus many many more

These are going to be £2 a ticket and I think worth every penny.

This year we are also going to be charging £1 to get in this will cover for both days that’s 50p a day there will also be a drinks limit of 6 cans or a box of wine once again there is no glass allowed on site.

We are now signing contracts with one of the biggest headline acts Nottinghamshire pride has ever seen let’s just say the whole committee are really excited to be bringing this person to Nottingham we will be launching this at our launch night on march the 2nd

Lots of things happening

So the Pride committee are already on it and planning not only next year but the fundraisers to raise money for it, for this we would like to thank the bars for continued support, AD2, Propaganda, The foresters and the Lord Roberts, we also have some new bars and clubs that are supporting us this year the first being Unique which opens up on the 29th of October, the second being a very gay friendly bar The Newmarket,

So a quick list of what’s coming up:

The New Foresters 1st December Pride Ball after Party

Jongleurs 18th December Charity Night

 

There will be Raffle tickets sold leading up to the night in the respective bars Thanks to Mick Pierce who has been working really hard we have some great Prizes this year including Meals for 2 and Beauty Vouchers,

These events are so important to the survival of Pride look forward to seeing you there

We will also be having a Student Pride night to be announced,

Next Years Event

So were well underway of organising next year’s event and to make it bigger and better still  we will now be over 2 days, the second day being a chill day with some new things happening theatre productions performing arts and independent films to say the least, We have already started to look at some fundraising ideas with the first being the Ball on the 1st of December at the council house this is too include a 3 course meal entertainment all night and an auction, the tickets are now on sale from any of the committee members who will be out and about over the coming months,  we have also set aside our first few dates for the Charity events that we are having in aid of the 5 chosen charities which are Tagadere, Re-creation, the switchboard, Outburst and Wow(worksop out on Wednesday), the first being a comedy night at jongleurs on the 18th of December we have some great acts lined up for this more info to follow, we have also booked the 31st of march to throw a mini music festival at the canal house this will have 2 stages full of music from 2 O’clock that day. With the support of I’m Not from London this is going to be a great day.


We are also going to be having a Bi-Monthly newsletter printed in the QB so don’t miss that, As I have said before we always need more volunteers so please get in contact if you can spare a few hours any help is gratefully received so please do get in contact and help your pride out.
